A minor deposit account can be opened as Current Account, Savings Deposit and Time Deposit Account.

The minor?s date of birth will be recorded in the account passbook. The minor deposit account will automatically become a maturity account when he/she attains his/her maturity (the 18th birthday).

The minor?s own parents can serve as the guardian in cash deposits & withdrawal of the minor account. If the minor does not have natural parents, the person who is designated by the letter of guardianship from the court can serve as the guardian according to the guardian and wards act.
